Dear visitors of Teatro Dimitri, dear friends
Since 1971, our parents, Clown Dimitri and Gunda Dimitri, have built the Teatro Dimitri together. With great dedication and motivation, they were busy almost every day organizing the now 50-year-old cultural center. It was very important to them to ensure that this place in Verscio continues to exist and does not lose its soul.
One day, they decided to gift the entire cultural center, which was then in their private possession, to the Fondazione Dimitri. You may be wondering why they didn't simply pass it on to their children, to Masha, Nina, Ivan, Mathias, or David?
Our parents were a great example of selflessness. They did their work to bring joy to people and spread laughter throughout the world – not to enrich themselves financially. They wanted to enrich the people who visited Verscio every year. Their highest priority was to bring joy to the people in the village and to people all over the world through Teatro Dimitri.
Now, our dear parents have unfortunately passed away, but they have left us a great treasure trove of joy and humanity. It is a great joy and honor for all of the Dimitri family to continue this legacy.
Of course, it is also a challenge. Every day, we think about solutions on how to secure the existence of Mondo Dimitri for the future. As long as we are here, we will make sure it continues. Currently, we are doing this without compensation because any help we receive from outside or from people like you goes directly towards the operation and maintenance of the cultural center.
Some time ago, we met with the founder of the organization "Dein Adieu," which helps people organize their estates competently and honestly. Even though this may not be the most pleasant topic, we can imagine that it could still be positive for many people to think about the future of their assets. Doing nothing is certainly an option, but in that case, other people or the law often decide what happens to the remaining capital.
That is why we have decided to address the topic of estates and inform friends of Teatro Dimitri that any support – no matter how small or large – would tremendously help our non-profit cultural foundation, Fondazione Dimitri, secure the resources to continue Mondo Dimitri.
We are endlessly grateful and would be delighted if you were to consider donating to Fondazione Dimitri. You can always call us or send us an email, even if you do not have any intention of donating or leaving us anything in your will.
Sincerely,
Masha and David Dimitri
